Ever since the seventh grade, when I received a book on Aikido for Christmas, I wanted to study the martial arts. I bought book after book and memorized every word they said. Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to actually join any martial arts classes. Then one day as I was reading, I happened to notice an ad in the SDSM&T newspaper that talked about “Jujitsu” which was a combination of Aikido, Judo, and Karate. I went down to watch a class and I fell in love. It was everything I wanted! I have been going to class for about four years and in that time I have risen through the ranks from white belt to black belt.
